Using KinLesson

You must be legally able to enter into these terms to create a KinLesson account. KinLesson is designed for parents, guardians, and other authorized adults managing homeschool planning and records. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Family workspaces and authorized users

A KinLesson family workspace may contain records about multiple children and may be shared with other authorized adults. Workspace owners and invited members are responsible for ensuring they have authority to add, view, edit, upload, or share information placed in the workspace.

Free trial and subscriptions

KinLesson may offer a free trial before a paid subscription begins. The current launch offer is a 14-day trial with no payment information required to create the family workspace. Paid KinLesson Family subscriptions are offered on monthly or annual billing intervals at the prices displayed before checkout.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel an eligible web subscription through the account billing controls or the payment provider's customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewal; access ordinarily continues through the end of the paid billing period unless otherwise stated or required by law.

If you believe a charge was made in error or you have a refund question, contact kj@kinlesson.com. Refunds, if any, are handled according to applicable law and the circumstances of the transaction.

Your content and records

You retain ownership of the family records and content you submit to KinLesson. You grant KinLesson the limited permission needed to host, process, display, synchronize, back up, and generate outputs from that content solely to operate and support the service.

You must not upload material you do not have the right to use or use KinLesson to violate another person's privacy, intellectual property, or other rights.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse KinLesson, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, probe or circumvent security controls, distribute malicious code, abuse automated interfaces, or use the service for unlawful activity.

Educational and legal-information disclaimer

KinLesson is a planning and recordkeeping tool. It is not a school, attorney, law firm, tax advisor, or government agency. State homeschool information presented in KinLesson is informational and may change. Families remain responsible for understanding and meeting requirements that apply to them and should consult authoritative state sources or qualified professionals when necessary.

Availability and changes

We work to keep KinLesson reliable and secure, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Features may be improved, replaced, limited, or discontinued as the product evolves. When a material change affects paid service, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice where appropriate.

Account suspension or termination

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or users, respond to legal requirements, address fraud or security risk, or enforce these terms. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export records before permanent account closure, unless doing so would create a security, legal, or abuse risk.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, KinLesson is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, KinLesson is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as KinLesson changes. The current version will be posted here with its effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
